Americans are asked whether the United States should provide military assistance to that country if it is attacked.
There are 5 countries – in order – Canada, Great Britain, Israel, Germany and Mexico that more them 50% of Americans are willing to help defend.

The level of support is basically unchanged from last year’s survey with the exception of Mexico for which support is down slightly.
No Arab countries are among those that a majority of Americans are willing to help defend, but Egypt comes closest: Yes - 44%, No - 35%
